About Stu

Three decades at the intersection of brands, partnerships & revenue.

Stu Seltzer is an award-winning adjunct professor at New York University, where he’s been teaching brand licensing for over 20 years. He is the co-author of Brand Licensing For Dummies and was inducted into the International Licensing Hall of Fame in 2024.

As President of Seltzer Licensing Group — a 24-year-old global licensing agency — Stu has crafted and secured partnerships for clients including Unilever, NBC’s American Ninja Warrior, the American Red Cross, Suave, Campbell’s Soup, and Scotts Miracle-Gro.

He honed his negotiation skills managing licensing for Yves Saint Laurent of America and at DC Comics / Warner Bros. Earlier in his career, he was a CPA at Arthur Andersen & Co. He holds a degree from Lehigh University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
